Motivation – Your Driving Force!
Motivation in sport training and success is critical. While there are many other skills and attributes that are almost equally important-such as raw, natural talent; perseverance and persistence; and commitment-none of those attributes can stand alone without motivation. None of those attributes can individually contribute more to your success than motivation.
Motivation is the driving force that keeps you going, working to achieve your goals and then setting new goals for yourself when you’ve achieved those. It is the thing that gives you perseverance and persistence. Without the motivation to succeed and excel, raw, natural talent is wasted. And no athlete is truly committed to his or her sport or activity without being motivated.
Personal Development & Success – "Creating the Motivation You Need"
Have you ever heard someone say something like, “I haven’t felt motivated lately,” or, “I’ll do it as soon as I feel motivated enough?” I know that I have and, truth be known, am guilty of using these and similar phrases myself. You see, I, like many others, used to believe that action only happens through motivation. That, I must wait around for the so-called “feeling to move me” before I will get anything accomplished.
Well, I was wrong. And I believe that I was wrong for two reasons. First is that I was unable to see the ‘big picture’ – the reason that the ‘thing’ had to be done in the first place and how that ‘thing’ relates to other things that I wanted to accomplish, do, enjoy, etc.
What is Intrinsic Student Motivation?
It has become very difficult for teachers to engage students in their classes and create interest in them for the subject. There are different motivation methods, some are called extrinsic and others intrinsic.
Intrinsic student motivation, means that the motivation of the person comes from inside, it means that he is motivated because he has a genuine real interest in the subject and wants to know more about it.
Motivation
On the other side if the student just has extrinsic motivation, it means that he is motivated by rewards or short term motivators like punishments, extra points and grades.
The teacher needs to focus more on intrinsic motivation because that will create a real interest in the student and he will want to contribute more and will get better grades.

Motivation By Pain
The word ‘motivation’ is used very commonly. But does anyone even know what it actually means? A very few would give a positive response to that. Motivation is basically a driving force. It is some kind of burning desire to achieve something. It is what makes us push towards our goal. Without motivation, one cannot successfully achieve anything. That desire, that spirit to achieve it has to be there. This fire within oneself that makes one move towards the goal is called motivation.
Motivated behaviour is necessary and is seen in almost every aspect of our life. We do things in a particular way for a reason and that is what motivation is. Reading, playing, exercising, following a particular diet for eating, all are done because of a motivating factor. If the motivation to do something is not strong enough, one will stop doing it altogether. The driving force is absolutely necessary for doing things – all kinds of things.
